Mersin Erdemli has recently embraced “bungalows” and “glampings,” which are now popular with tourists looking for a vacation intertwined with nature. It is anticipated that the project, which is almost finished and will increase tourism this year, will become a favourite among those looking for a vacation close to nature.
The project will promote tourism. It is carried out in Mersin Erdemli Talat Göktepe Natural Park, which receives thousands of visitors each year. Here, the beauty of the Taurus Mountains with their pine forests and greenery on one side and the blue Mediterranean Sea with its immense beauty on the other meet.
The bungalow and glamping project by the Erdemli Municipality, which was completed with the aid of Mersin University and a funding from the Ukurova Development Agency, is anticipated to be well-liked by those who enjoy alternative travel.
According to reports, 250 people can live in bungalow homes and glamping tents at once, where every living space is outdoors in the lap of luxury. During the busiest travel season, the Erdemli “amlk” water sports facility, a favourite of tent and caravan travellers, will open.
The project that values the environment has been started at the intersection of the colours blue and green, according to Mükerrem Tollu, the mayor of Erdemli, who also stated that the city is aiming to adopt new tourism trends. “Our Erdemli ‘amli’ have beauty in tourism that bring a different value to our Erdemli and provide a different understanding,” said Mayor Tollu. These natural wonders include our Erdemlimiz Sea’s cleanliness, the area’s safety, the way the colours blue and green blend together, and the genuine Erdemli “amli.” We redefine tourism by embellishing these natural wonders with our cottages and glamping.
Almost 9 million TL had already been spent on this by our municipality. We have provided this beauty to Mersin Erdemli so they can spend their vacations in this location in the best and most optimal way. In the tourism sector, our Erdemli is now achieving an even better and more ideal position. It follows that this will have a severe negative influence on the social and economic well-being of our Erdemli.
“Along with bungalows and glamping, we give Mersin Erdemli tourism a new voice, new breath, new harmony, and a new understanding. All of our people who wish to spend their vacation in Amlak and their time in this beautiful region where blue and green cohabit are eagerly awaiting their arrival.”
