With the arrival of spring, the camping season for nature enthusiasts in Düzce’s lush highlands has begun. Camping is a favorite activity among nature lovers who visit Gölyaka Culture Park, which changes its appearance with the seasons. Düzce, also known as the “city of waterfalls and lakes,” is a popular springtime getaway for nature lovers. Düzce’s camping season has already begun, with hundreds of nature lovers flocking to its waterfalls, lakes, and plateaus each year.
The highlands attract residents seeking quiet and fresh air. The Gölyaka Culture Park, which is known for its beautiful beauty, is a popular hangout for residents. Camping is popular among nature lovers who take advantage of the pleasant weather in the 790,000-square-meter park. Zeynep Yalçn, who camped with her friends in Gölyaka Culture Park, stated:
“We came to the camp as students. 46 people camped in Gölyaka Culture Park. We didn’t have any problems in the evening as the campsite was fenced. This is an amazing place with natural beauty. In the evening we can watch the stars from under the trees. In the morning, you can wake up to the sounds of birds. There is Lake Efteni in the region where we are located. You can also visit here. In Gölyaka Culture Park, various activities such as parachute, golf, off-road can be done.”
The Elmack Mountains’ flowing waters produce a cascade when they descend from the 120-meter-high rocks of Güzeldere Waterfall Bçk Düzü. The valley, which is shaded by massive beech and hornbeam trees, echoes the stony, watering rocks’ cries. The waterfall is reached by three distinct pathways and a stair system. Because the platforms are always damp, paying attention to the warning signs is critical.
