The charming Cappadocia region in central Turkey is well-known for its fantastical environment, cave houses, incredible rock formations, and, of course, the throngs of hot air balloons that take to the skies each morning at dawn. Furthermore, Cappadocia has so many wonderful hiking trails that it will take you at least a week to explore them all. I visited the ancient valleys during my ten days in Cappadocia, hiked every trail, and was naturally enchanted by the hot air balloons. In October of last year, 346 000 112 people visited the historical and touristic sites in the Cappadocia region. On the other hand, 3 million 627 thousand 940 tourists from both domestic and foreign countries visited the region between January and October of this year. 1 million 917 thousand 657 domestic and international visitors were welcomed in the area during the same period last year.
